Everything you need to know
Admissions decisions are placed on student’s evaluation performance, preceding school records, placement standardized assessment results, recommendation letters and interview.
Admissions requirements by division are detailed below. Priority is given to students who are children of Lincoln School's associates, alumni and international students.
- Attach the following documents to your application:
- A recent photograph of the applicant
- A copy of the applicant's vaccination record
- A copy of the applicant's passport
- Two letters of recommendation from active Associates of the Lincoln School community
- A criminal background check from your country of origin
- Financial documentation confirming that the family has a net income of at least $6,000 per enrolled student, with a reduced rate of $2,000 for each additional child, which must be up-to-date. Acceptable documents include:
- Certification of income issued by a Costa Rican CPA, including gross and net salary and worksheet, or
- Orden Patronal and salary certificate issued by the company in the correct format.
- Take the entry exam
- Participate in an interview with a counselor
- Participate in an academic interview
- Presentation to the Board of Directors
- Receive official communication of acceptance
For foreign families:
- Personal letter from the family requesting the admission and explaining their situation in Costa Rica
- Letter of recommendation from employer, lawyer or embassy
- Family introduction letter (Explaining what you do and the reason for coming to Costa Rica)
- A criminal background check from your country of origin
