Lincoln-Babson Alliance spreads its impact at home and abroad

Lincoln-Babson Alliance spreads its impact at home and abroad

The alliance between Lincoln School and Babson College is growing stronger, and now begins a transition toward a new ambition that seeks for more participants inside and outside Costa Rica.

After giving priority to teachers and students, through the teaching of the Entrepreneurship Program for Innovators and Changemakers (EPIC) and the implementation of the Ingenious Lab Entrepreneurship Camp, people from outside the educational field joined the entrepreneurship training process taught by Babson College.

Additionally, staff from Lincoln and Babson visited and contacted countries in the region with the aim of promoting the importance of the entrepreneurial education model in students from Preschool on up.

Lincoln-Babson Workshop

A group of 50 adults, made up of entrepreneurs and interested individuals, participated in a workshop with Babson that aimed to teach the EPIC program, training that our 9th grade students have access to.

This training was delivered by Beth Goldstein, Babson Youth Impact Lab director.

International visits

Lincoln School is the strategic partner of Babson College for the growth of entrepreneurial education at a regional level. Recently, Lincoln and Babson staff visited Panama and Colombia to encourage foreign schools to join the initiative of promoting entrepreneurship in their communities.

In addition, in this effort we are working together with schools in Nicaragua, Honduras, Venezuela and Bolivia.

A look into the future

During the next semester, the Lincoln-Babson partnership will offer new benefits to students and parents through a collaborative agenda. Our Trojans will receive support and mentorship from Babson students on their projects, while parents will receive EPIC training from Beth Goldstein.

By that time, the Lincoln Innovation Center (LINC) will be available, a place where EPIC training will be offered to people in the region.

Another initiative promotes an entrepreneurship projects competition, in which the participation of 30 students is expected. In this competition, students will show their abilities and obtain recognition for their work.

Finally, a group of Lincoln School students will have the opportunity to travel to Boston, Massachusetts, to experience EPIC instruction on the Babson College campus.

The Lincoln-Babson bond is strengthened by preparing new projects to increase the positive impact of entrepreneurship, the driving force behind innovation and social change.
