Experiences, feelings, and thoughts are inspiration sources used by our Seniors to create artworks in their IB Art graduation project.
Using different materials and various techniques, students showcase outstanding artwork on the IB Art Exhibition with parents and teachers participation.
At the ceremony, Sebastián Jiménez Pardo showed part of his most recent repertoire by performing two singles included in his new production. Listen to Sebastian’s musical production here.
Proud parents were part a two-year process, a period in which Trojans had to learn principles of art in virtual mode and then put them into practice in face to face lessons. A situation never seen before and that they had to overcome to finish their projects.
Scott Garren, High School Principal, explained that it is an opportunity to understand how students see and interpret the world and their place in it, so this exhibition is a way for Trojans to share that with us.
Patricia Flores, IB Visual Arts teacher, highlighted the resilience that students had to overcome learning difficulties due to the pandemic. “We were in virtual classes for over a semester, when they came to school they were very excited and dedicated themselves to experimenting, sharing and supporting each other,” said Flores.
In the following link you will find several interviews where students share the meanings of their works, opinions about art and the impact it has had on their lives.
