Lincoln School students had an outstanding participation in tennis tournaments held in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Some of them started in this sport at an early age, today they are used to lift trophies and hang medals around their necks.
Isabella Montero, Antonio Bermúdez and Alejandro Morales represented our country in a contest organized by the Confederation of Tennis of Central America and the Caribbean (Cotecc).
These elementary school students played their matches in the U-12 category and obtained second place after competing in doubles or team format. In the following video they tell us about their experiences and learnings from this experience abroad.
At the local level, Valentina Montero and Antonio Bermúdez placed first in the national tennis tournament.
Interestingly, a match between best friends decided the privileged position. Antonio and Alejandro tell us how difficult it is to try to defeat an opponent who knows each other's gameplay style.
Discipline, effort, and sacrifice allow these students to be successful in the field. They attend classes, then train for several hours and maintain a balanced diet. The achievements of these students make the Lincoln community greater, and we are confident that they will continue doing their best.
