An idea from Theodore Hope, parent of a sixth grader and Board member, brought together the artistic talent of the Lincoln community adults.
“For several years I've wanted to carry out an activity that was from adults to adults and that would unite the Lincoln community. There's a lot of artistic talent, and that's what we want to see on stage,” Hope said.
Parents, teachers, and staff members came together to be part of the first edition of the Noche de Variedades. This show allowed the participants to get out of the routine and forget for a moment their roles within the institution and show their skills in what they are passionate about.
Rocío Quirós, Dean of Students, confessed that before jumping on stage she was nervous, but while being there she enjoyed the experience of sharing with her peers and allowing others to discover a different side of her personality.
“It was so nice to be able to share and enjoy with those who were there. I think that what I value the most is that they got to see another part of me, I am a person who loves to make people laugh, I love to smile, and make someone feel good,” Quirós said.
Quirós highlighted the importance of this kind of activity, as it makes it possible to enjoy the great talent we have around, encourage teambuilding, and get out of the comfort zone.
