Sophisticated and unique: Lincoln School begins construction of its Linc innovation center
Centro Linc will offer 10 academic programs to students and adults
Imagine a collaborative work environment that can adapt to students and teacher’s needs, with the latest technology and world-class amenities. A site that facilitates entrepreneurial initiatives development and at the same time promotes social progress. Could you believe this space will become true for next year?
Lincoln School started the construction of the Lincoln Innovation Center (Linc), a unique place in Central America that promotes changemakers training. This center gives meaning to Lincoln School’s mission to become the leading innovator in 21st century education, empowers students to positively impact local and global communities.
Students from private and public schools will participate in this experience, and training will also be offered to the public as part of a strategy to expand entrepreneurship knowledge at national level. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the alliance with Babson College, are the pillars that support the educational methodology that will be taught at the Linc.
“It is a space where students, teachers, businessmen, and universities come together with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation education in the country. We will have robotics rooms, a video studio, design rooms and more,” said Sara Estrada, Innovation Director at Lincoln School.
The Linc Center will work together with universities, this will allow the teaching of advanced courses to the students such as: digital marketing, video editing, soft skills, economics and others.
The projects developed by students will be evaluated by business experts who will advise the young people and some projects will go through incubation stages. This infrastructure, together with the entrepreneurial methodology aims to give students something that goes beyond an academic experience and becomes a life learning.
Other educational programs that will be instructed at Linc are:
Speech Training |
Summer Programs |
Entrepreneurship training center |
Mentoring program |
Guest Speakers |
Business competitions |
Collaboration programs |
Co working |
This place will be a learning zone for students from Lincoln School and from other schools during regular and extended hours, through co-curricular courses where they will learn about digital design, robotics and others.
It is estimated that the construction process will take 7 months, so the Linc will start operating next March.
