Lincoln School students will use a $500 prize to stimulate the analytical and scientific capacities of public-school girls through a social project.
“Inspiring Women STEM (IWS)” is a project that won 2nd place in the Babson Olympiad, and consists of STEM kits donated to students from Prep to 3rd grade. What is STEM? STEM is an abbreviation that refers to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Through this project, Lincoln students will give instruments and play materials to children, with the intention of awakening passions at an early age in little girls to encourage them to become engineers or scientists.
The students Ximena Álvarez, Milena Campos, María José Montero and Jimena Ortiz developed the concept and tell us about their experience in Babson Olympiad as well as the intention of their project.
